Syphilis Chancre Hair In It

Her name was Sarah - Tatiana de Rosnay's coastal

Comment: Sarah is a Jewish girl who had the roundup of the Vel d'Hiv in July 1942 with his parents. In 2002, 60 years after this tragic event, Julia Jarmond, expatriate American journalist, is responsible for writing a paper on the event. She then left on the trail of the little girl whose fate is sadly related to that of his wife's family ...

The novel alternates the story of these two stories. The style is simple, fluid and rhythmic. No length, no digressions: the reader is drawn into the plot of the novel, although the events and characters are expected. Regardless, I was touched by the story of Tatiana de Rosnay which deals with an episode in the history of France often forgotten and which proposes the same time, an emotional approach intergenerational relationships. Remember the raid involved in the process of grieving families of many victims. Her name was Sarah fits aptly into this memory. It should be read because France needs to remember: the accusation has indeed been. Learn to admit, that provide opportunities for future generations not to repeat past mistakes ...

"16 and July 17, 1942, 13,152 Jews were arrested in Paris and its suburbs, deported and murdered in Auschwitz. In the Velodrome d'Hiver, which was here, 4,115 children, 2,916 women, 1,129 men were herded in inhuman conditions by the police of the Vichy government by order of the Nazi occupiers. " The French government itself was working on the project since April 1942 establishing the list of all Jews to stop. More than six thousand police in Paris were assigned to this task. Retreats by Seb Musset

In his article "Financing retirement: the issue of employer contributions "FRIOT Bernard, Professor economics and sociology at the University of Paris X, wrote: "We always forget, when we argue about the future of pensions, as GDP grew by about 1.6% per year, volume, and therefore that it doubles at constant currency in 40 years. That's why we have multiplied by 4.5 pension expenditure since 1960.

Why the information is as critical is it censored? Because just a few easy calculation would show that those who govern us, take us for remained.
- Indeed, if today's 10 active producing a cake of 100 and they Retirees have to load 4. That's 14 people who share a cake 100. The share of each person is (100: 14) is 7.14.
- If in forty years, 10 active producing a cake of 200 and they charge 8 to retirees. This will be 18 people who will share a cake 200. The share of each person will be (200: 18) or 11.1.
is clear! It will therefore be possible to fund pensions at the same level as before their reforms back in time. In addition, the remaining piece of cake for investment and rising living standards will be much larger in 2040 (in constant currency).

So where is the problem?
Why the eagerness to destroy a system that works? Because the French social system established by the National Resistance Council (CNR) in 1945, infuriates businessmen and financiers, for obvious reasons.
For example, it is impossible to realize capital gains "stock" of 40% of us pay (the so-called payroll taxes) to pay our pensions and our health, dignity and responsibility. Do not forget that these payroll taxes are our deferred salary which is the fruit of our work. It is or assistantship or charity as the employer suggests a bad propaganda.

And that is where lies the whole issue of reforms: the dream of ruling classes to raid our deferred wages. To capture this "cake", their strategy is to reduce our rights to force us, increasingly, to finance our health and retirement through private insurance.
They have already started: the reductions in employers' contributions are increasing since 2002 and have already reached nearly 30 billion each year. How many of those 30 billion went productive investment? How many jobs? How effective are engulfed in the light of? What assessment? Moreover, the fact that our system works well without going for a walk on the green baize casinos stock highlights the futility and predatory role players in the financial sphere.

This is confirmed in a masterly way in Le Monde Diplomatique in February under the title: "Should we close the purse?"

How Long Should I Wear Aircast After Cast

pretend - Antonio Tabucchi

Author: Antonio Tabucchi
Original Title: Sostiene Pereira
Collection: foreign domain
Translator: Bernard How
Editions: 10/18
Year of Publication: 1998
Number of pages: 218 p.
Cover: Place du Palais Royal Lisbon (detail)

Comment: Lisbon. Summer 1938. While Portugal lived under the dictatorship of Salazar , that civil war brewing in Spain and that fascism rages in Italy, Pereira, was appointed director of the cultural page of the newspaper Lisboa. To assist in this task, this sad character who speaks in frail portrait of his late wife, called upon the services of Monteiro Rossi for his obituary section of which deals with the writers "to die". Suddenly overwhelmed by this encounter, life takes an unexpected turn Pereira: nothing happens as he wants but he lacks the strength to prevent her destiny fulfilled. He who was interested only translating French novels of the nineteenth century, tangled up in political intrigues in which he would not know. Stitches in Time, our reluctant hero, will learn at the expense of its tranquility, being a journalist in Portugal during the Salazar dictatorship, is not a chore. Obedient to some unknown force known it then discovers the power of journalists and assume his role until the end ...

I struggled to get into this story. The tone used by Tabucchi resonates as a kind of advocacy that I found quite indigestible. Throughout the novel, Tabucchi Pereira talks about his actions by introducing "says Pereira," and we do not really know where he is coming from. We discovered over the text a character at first any, even insignificant resigned yet. Nothing foreshadows the end of the story. And the author's note at the end of the book suddenly justifies the whole reason of this novel. You come out confused, touched, moved. If this really existed Pereira as the "claims" this novel Tabucchi, then I say: long live Pereira whatever name he has really paid. A novel and unexpected for me really a very nice discovery ...

Trivia: In 1995, the protagonist of the novel Pereira Declares, becomes a symbol for the left opposition to Berlusconi, the media magnate.

Excerpts: " He said the philosophy gives the impression of caring only for truth, but perhaps does not say that she fancies, and literature gives the impression to look only fantasies, but maybe she said the truth. " p.33

" Yes, "said Pereira, but they were right, my life no sense, it would not make sense to have studied at Coimbra and letters have always believed that literature was the most important thing in the world, it would not make sense that I run the cultural page of this newspaper in the afternoon where I can not express my opinion and where I have to publish accounts of nineteenth-century French, nothing would meaning, and that's what I feel the need to repent, as if I was another person and not the Pereira has always been a journalist, as if I were to deny something. " p. 126

"It's easy objected Dr. Cardoso, anyway there are preventive censorship every day before leaving the testing of your newspaper pass through the imprimatur of preventive censorship and if there is something wrong, you can rest assured that it will not be published, maybe they will leave a blank space, it I already got to see Portuguese newspapers with large blank spaces, it inspires great rage and great sadness. " p. 132

" You are in conflict with you himself in this battle that stirs your soul, you should drop your superego, let him go to his destiny as trash. " p. 161

" Excuse me , sir, "said Pereira with compunction, but hey, I wanted to tell you one thing, originally we Lusitano, then we had the Romans, Celts, and then we had the Arabs, then what race we can celebrate, we Portuguese? " p. 190

The biggest losers are not artists, but the lobbies of audio-visual see their huge margins shrink the physical sector. HADOPI is primarily used to impose capitalist rule the Internet, which was here based on the pooling of information and free. How Long After Tanning Can You Wax

Fahrenheit 451 - Ray Bradbury

Author: Ray Bradbury
Editions: Folio
Collection: SF
date: February 2010
Translator: Jacques Chambon and Eric Roubillaud
Preface : Jacques Chambon
Number Pages: 213 p.
Cover: Photos & Masao Mukai Syata Tokitsume (Photonica)

Dedication: "This is dedicated with gratitude to Don Congdon"

Quote: "If they give you ruled paper, write the other side." Juan Ramon Gimenez

Back Cover: "451 degrees Fahrenheit temperature represent a book which ignites and burns. In this future society where reading, source of questioning and reflection, is considered an anti-social, a special corps of firefighters are instructed to burn all the books whose detention is prohibited for the public good. The fireman Montag begins to dream of yet a different world, that does not banish the literature and the imagination in favor of happiness immediately consumable. It then becomes a dangerous criminal, hunted by a ruthless society that disavows its past. "

Comment: There is no need to make this work yet anthology of science fiction novel / science fiction? Published in 1953 in serial form, this novel is still and always emulated. And for good reason: the issues raised by Bradbury are time bombs that threaten, if left unchecked, will explode. The " burnings" books are recurring events in history because " source of questioning and reflection" , books symbolize the memory of mankind. Although Fahrenheit 451 does not reflect not reality, it offers a pessimistic vision of the future who finds a powerful echo among the reading public: what if read was really drives dangerous criminals? The novel returns to the concerns of the author vis-à-vis the McCarthyism of the 1950s and censorship that we know today has happily taken his relay. If eading is a subversive act regardless if firefighters do not burn the books: the fact that Bradbury imagined it in this novel, has accused the men of this disaster . In this sense, Fahrenheit 451 is a novel universal.

I read this book when I was a teenager and I have excellent memories. So when the blogosphere has given this reading for every day, I took the opportunity to explore this issue with relevance introduced by Jacques Chambon (2000) . Reread the novel after years, has lost none of its power: the disturbing message he hovers over our civilization. Again, to paraphrase Bradbury "there is more a way to burn a book " one which corresponds to our time is censorship. But beyond these considerations, it is especially reminds Chambon" question of imperialism media, which carry great brainwashing advertising, games, soap operas, television news ". (p. 12/13 of the preface). And if burning a book is simply another way " make people unable to read due to atrophy of all interest in the thing literary, intellectual laziness or simple disinformation "? p.13 is a question that deserved to be asked. Fortunately, we are still likely to defend the interests of reading and the book is far from dead, but if you had no "being" one book, which embodies you?

Excerpts: "Montag Well, believe my word, I had read some time to find out what was going on : they do not tell "Nothing that we can teach or believe. They talk about things that do not exist, products of the imagination, if they are novels. And if not, it's worse, each teacher treats the other a fool, each philosopher tries to swallow his words to each other, screaming louder than him. They Courrent in all directions, blowing it off the stars and the sun. We freaked out. " p.91

" - Nobody listens more. I do not want to talk to the walls because they are screaming after me. I can not speak to my wife, she listens to the walls. I just want someone who listens to what I have to say. And perhaps if I talk long enough, it will eventually stand. And I want you to teach me to understand what I read. " p. 114

" Books were one of many types of containers for preserving what we fear forget. They have absolutely no magic. There is magic in what they say in the way they sew the bits and pieces of the universe for us to make a garment. " p.115

" Good writers often affect the life of the finger. The poor are merely scratched the surface. Ill rape her and leave the flies. " p. 115

" You're afraid of making mistakes. It should not. Mistakes can be profitable. Gosh, when I was young, I threw my ignorance on people's heads. And it was worth me with sticks. When I reached forty, I had sharp blunt instrument. If you hide your ignorance, you will not get hits but you learn nothing. "p.142
